Our Purpose
Dedicated to Quality
At Old Frontier Family Farm, our mission is simple: to deliver the finest, farm-fresh products while maintaining sustainable and ethical farming practices. We are committed to providing our community with healthy, delicious food options and promoting the benefits of locally grown meat and eggs.
Tradition
Kitsap County farming has a rich history that spans generations. We see Kitsap quickly changing into the suburb of Seattle, which threatens the supply of local food sources. Our goal is to maintain and sustain farmland within Kitsap. Our farm is not as old as some in the area but we are established on the principles of hard work, integrity, and a deep love for the land. Our farm has evolved over the years to symbolize quality and trust in our community. Explore our journey and learn how we continue to uphold these values today.
Team
Meet Our Farmers
Greg
Greg was born and raised in Kitsap County, Washington, where his passion for farming started early. Growing up on his family's small farm, he was deeply involved in 4-H and FFA, raising a variety of animals and learning the values of hard work, responsibility, and stewardship of the land. His show experience not only nurtured his love for animals but also honed his skills in animal husbandry, leadership, and community service. These experiences shaped his path, leading him to continue the tradition of farming into adulthood. Now, he applies those same principles on his farm, raising healthy livestock and contributing to the local agricultural community.
Kharissa
Kharissa, born and raised on this land, carries forward the generational vision of the farm. Though animal farming wasn’t her initial path, one day everything clicked, and she embraced it wholeheartedly. She now stands as the backbone of the farm, balancing the demands of daily operations, business management, and homeschooling her children. Beyond the farm, Kharissa dedicates countless hours to promoting agriculture within Kitsap County and supporting agricultural youth development, nurturing a new generation’s connection to the land.
The Kids
Our children are an essential part of our farm’s livelihood. From daily chores to large-scale projects and hands-on animal care, they contribute with enthusiasm and skill. We believe that just as the farm shapes our community, it also shapes our children, teaching resilience, responsibility, and connection to their food. Community service, preservation of local food production, and supporting local food sources are core to our teachings, instilling values that will last a lifetime. Their excitement and passion are woven into every part of our work—without them, our farm wouldn’t be what it is today.
